Animal Nursing Assistant Program

Overview:

The Animal Nursing Assistant program is a stand alone qualification and can be used as a foundation course for progression onto Veterinary Nursing. The program is organised as an academic section (one day a week a LITE) and a worked based training element (minimun of 16 hours veterinary contact). You will produce a portfolio tracking your progress in practice and sit written exams in the theory modules.

Entry Requirements:

No formal qualifications are required. Applicants must be 16 plus, work full or part-time within a veterinary practice and enrol with the British Veterinary Nursing Association prior to starting this program.

Veterinary Nursing
We now have agreement with the RCVS that they will accept the new Animal Care Diploma together with additional nursing units as entry to the Veterinary Nursing Diploma.
This means that we now have an alternative route  for direct entry to the Veterinary Nursing Diploma.
