Overview:
The animal care program is offered as an NVQ at levels 1, 2 and 3. It involves time spent at LITE for academic training every other week for the duration of the course. It also involves production of a portfolio in a suitable work placement (e.g. vets, pet shop, breeding/boarding kennels, catteries etc...). Progress is assessed in the workplace and there is no need for formal examinations to achieve this qualification.
